Niccole Cox – MotoAmerica Race Operations Manager
MotoAmerica – North America’s new road-racing series spearheaded by three-time MotoGP Champion Wayne Rainey – continues to build its staff.
The latest MotoAmerica employee was appointed Wednesday when Niccole Cox was hired as Race Operations Manager, effective immediately.
Cox, a club racer, arrives at MotoAmerica from MotoWest Grand Prix, where she was an Operations Manager.
MotoAmerica says Cox’s responsibilities include, but will not be limited to, the following: Rider and team registration, registration and activation of contingency programs, providing race-operation communications to teams, payments of funds to teams, registration of service and support companies, participant credentials, oversee timing and scoring requirements, coordinating MotoAmerica race operations requirements with racetracks (including paddock planning and assignments), and overseeing race operations staffing and equipment needs at events.
“MotoAmerica is pleased to welcome Niccole to our team,” said Chuck Aksland, the COO & Executive Director of Race Operations for MotoAmerica. “Her background made her an ideal candidate to help us develop our procedures and processes. Through Niccole’s previous experience with the MotoWest organization, she has a great understanding of the requirements we need in place to ensure a smooth running event.
“As with any start-up, there are a million and one details to be worked out in a short amount of time. Niccole has hit the ground running and soon we will be able to release details on rider/team and service company registration options as well as contingency program options for companies interested in partnering with MotoAmerica.”
“With American road racing now in the hands of passionate and driven road racers and enthusiasts, I am certain 2015 will be an exceptional year for our sport and I am elated for this opportunity to work with and learn from the MotoAmerica team,” Cox said. “Our sport is ready for a revitalization, and I am humbled to be a part of this journey.”
